Education/Training

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling Strategic and High Priority IS&T projects. Projects will be executed utilizing Foot Locker’s Project Methodology based on Agile principles and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Standards. The Sr. Project Manager (PM) is also responsible for coaching and mentoring project managers.
Task and Schedule Management: The Sr. Project Manager is expected to be able to create written plans to manage and track tasks across multiple initiatives. When planning the work, the Sr. Project Manager must use their technical knowledge, as well as, solicit input from the technical staff, business units and other IS&T support areas to assure the timeframes and expectations are realistic. It is expected that the Sr. Project Manager will develop resource plans necessary to complete projects and work with the Managers to provide those resources.
Communication: It is expected that the Sr. Project Manager frequently polls the project team for status of activities, providing that status to IS&T management in a timely and accurate manner, while reviewing the tasks to ensure completeness, validity of results and compliance with Foot Locker Project methodology. Interface with the users to ensure all involved are aware of status and potential issues. Develop a positive partnership with the user community. Any issues that could or will impact the overall project milestones need to be communicated immediately.
Accountability: It is required that the associates assigned to project tasks understand what they are to do, what their priorities are and that they are accountable to complete the tasks with a high degree of quality within the timeframes established. Coordination of all Schneider Electric onsite activities including subcontracting. (Project Executive)
• Lead the monitor and control of the performance of the customer’s project through its lifecycle. Key activities include task completion verification, project team monitoring, managing the exchange of project updates across the project team members, schedule reporting, issue resolution, and contract administration. • Lead the closeout of the customer’s project to include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion through review of internal system information, contact with the customer, and coordination with support services such as field services, after-shipment support, and training functions. • Compares/differentiates/propose alternate products/ value engineering
• Solves problems with customer interaction that results in positive feedback and improved relationship.
• Utilizes a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use and demonstrates an understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes and terminology needed for effective project management.
• Ensure each project is executed to meet or exceed the customer’s requirements while also ensuring the project is executed within the financial boundaries of cost and margin.
• Communicate project risk (technical & financial) and mitigation plans once an issue is identified. Accurately predict the financial performance for revenue recognition to SLM to include original forecast, change orders and for cost forecasts based on incurred costs, and estimate to complete
• Utilize and offer improvements to the Project execution teams standard process, documentation, and tools.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should have:
• At least 3-4 years of project management experience involving construction management, electrical power distribution equipment (switchgear, ups, building systems, etc.), or mechanical systems (HVAC, BMS, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of subcontractor management, project financials, and risk mitigation
• Technical knowledge of a variety of facility/ building systems or IT infrastructure systems, including but not limited to; medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, fie/ security, cooling, heating, rack, systems
• Experience leading and developing a project team to achieve improved results, measured through increased customer satisfaction, increase project profitability.
• Experience supervising a technical staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Project
